Network and Infrastructure Engineer
Fultura is a group of consultants who support a wide variety of clients in Networking, Security, Virtualisation, Private Cloud hosting, and general IT support.
Due to continued expansion, we are currently looking for a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to join our Guernsey team.
This would be supporting our clients based across the Channel Islands and the UK.
About the Role
We require a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to assist our clients with Call and Fault resolution, Management of Windows environments and Active Directory, Virtualisation technologies Network and Firewall infrastructure and management.
Where required you will escalate incidents to our 3rd Line Consultants.
You will be helping to undertake purchasing, dealing with suppliers and assisting in running our Guernsey Network Operations Centre
Our consultants will be on hand to assist you, and to ensure you develop and learn new skills and increase your knowledge across the IT industry.
At times you will visiting our clients on site, assisting either our Consultants or using your own initiate to resolve client incidents, carry out infrastructure installs or to assist with client IT projects.
You will also be assisting our Consultants in technical builds, design and installation of a wide variety of hardware and projects.
On Call cover on a rota basis is also required.
Some business travel (CI/UK) may also be required.
What are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate would be a person with 2 – 4 years of IT experience, in a System or Network/Infrastructure Administrator/Engineer role.
You will need a good knowledge of Desktop Environments, Windows Server Infrastructure and Active Directory, Networking and Firewall technologies
We need someone who is:
- Methodical and able to logically troubleshoot issues
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Approachable, with great customer service skills
- Able to communicate with all levels of client from Users to Directors
- A good communicator both verbally and written
- Passionate about service delivery
- Able to understand and implement technical solutions to complex issues
A candidate that holds Cisco/Checkpoint/Ubiquiti/Microsoft/Comp TIA professional IT qualifications would be preferred, however there will be opportunities for the right candidate to study and undertake professional qualifications within this role.
